Parenting Coordination
What is it? Parenting Coordination seeks to support parents to navigate theimplementation of parenting orders and improve their communication skills. Theresponsibilities of a Parenting Coordinator (PC) include: parental education and coaching, monitoring (i.e communications between the parties/compliance with orders) and case management and dispute resolution. What it is not? A PC’s role is not therapeutic, it is not confidential and it is reportable.A PC does not negotiate substantive changes to preexisting orders. The ultimate goal is to reduce parental conflict and create more stable and co-operative co-parenting environments, reducing child stress and prioritising a child's welling.
